Enteromius rubrostigma is a small African barb reaching roughly 4.5 in standard length, native to the coastal river systems of the Lower Guinea region — from Gabon south and east to the Chiloango River basin, spanning parts of Gabon, Cameroon, the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Taxonomy & naming

Enteromius rubrostigma was described by Poll and Lambert in 1964 under the original combination Barbus miolepis rubrostigma, making it a subspecies of B. miolepis at the time of its description.
