Every name, resolved

A danio or rasbora is known by a current scientific binomial under the Catalog of Fishes and, often, by an English common name — “zebra danio”, “giant danio”, “harlequin rasbora”, “chili rasbora”. Because the two groups have been reshuffled so often — and because several fish sold as “rasboras” are really danios — the same fish frequently travels under more than one name.
